PNG LNG Project

PNG LNG is an integrated development that is commercialising the gas resources of Papua New Guinea. Our operations are producing over 8 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) each year which we export to four major customers in the Asia region.
The site tour will offer attendees an exclusive look at world class, integrated development that includes gas production and processing facilities that extend from Hela, Southern Highlands, Western and Gulf provinces to Port Moresby in Central Province.

Port Moresby Power Station

The 58MW Port Moresby Power Station is PNG’s first dedicated grid connected gas-fired power plant and is located in Port Moresby near the PNG LNG project plant site. Development of the power station commenced in August 2017 and it is owned and operated by independent power producer NiuPower, a company jointly owned by Kumul Energy Limited and Oil Search Limited Power Holdings Limited. The Port Moresby Power Station will provide reliable power to Port Moresby and is the lowest cost dedicated grid connected thermal generation in the country.
